Service

If you are required to serve a document, it may be served by ordinary service or by special service.

The methods of special service include:

If a document is not required to be served by special service, it may be served by ordinary service, or by special service.  Once a case has started, any documents that are filed and required to be served may be served by ordinary service.

The methods of ordinary service depend on whether or not the person has given an address for service.

Ordinary service on a party's lawyer

If a lawyer representing the person agrees, in writing, to accept service of the document, you can send it to the lawyer.
