Registry Operations During COVID-19 Pandemic

Until further notice the following changes to Registry operations apply during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Registry will continue to offer its usual services, including lodgement of court documents, inspection of subpoenaed documents and providing procedural advice. However, the Court is changing the way in which it delivers some of its Registry services.

As from Monday 23 March 2020 all front counter services, including public kiosk computers, will be temporarily suspended as a precautionary response to COVID-19 pandemic. The action has been taken to limit the close social contact between persons at the front counter and in the waiting area.

The front counter services will remain suspended until further notice.

The Justice of Peace service has resumed at the Court between 9:30am and 1:00pm. You can also locate an alternative JP on the wa.gov.au website or seek the assistance of a lawyer to witness your documents.

Filing documents

When filing documents, you need to submit the original and enough copies for the other parties.

Computer facilities

Family Court Registry computers

Use of these facilities is currently suspended due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Justice of the Peace

There is a Justice of the Peace at the registry Monday-Friday 9:30am to 1:00pm.

Also a Justice of the Peace at the Citizen's Advice Bureau Perth Office at 25 Barrack St Monday-Friday 9:00am to 3:30pm.

The Department of Justice has a list of Document Witnessing Centres where you can find a Justice of the Peace.

Remember to take ID so your identity can be confirmed.
