Where is the Family Court located?

  • The court is located at 150 Terrace Road, Perth.
  • It is next door to the Perth Concert Hall on the riverside
  • The nearest cross street is Victoria Avenue.
  • Closest bus stops are at St Georges Terrace, corner of Victoria Avenue
  • Walk from St Georges Terrace towards the river down Victoria Avenue.

What are the court's hours?

  • Registry hours: 9am to 4pm each weekday
  • Telephone contact: 8:30am to 4:30pm each weekday

Customers attending the registry counter on Level 1 may wish to reduce their waiting time by avoiding the following peak load customer attendance times:

AVOID

  1. 12noon to 2pm daily
  2. Friday 2pm to 4pm

Upon arrival in the Level 1 foyer there is a touch-screen ticket machine dispensing tickets for the registry counter service opposite Security by the stairwell.

Alternatively, documents can be submitted for assessment and filing can also be posted to GPO Box 9991  PERTH  WA  6848.  See the Court's Fees webpage for options for payment of court fees.

  • Court sittings: usually from 9.30am or 10am to 1pm, adjourn for lunch between 1pm and 2:15pm, resume at 2.15pm continuing to about 4.30pm

Where can I park?

  • The closest parking is available at the Perth City Council carpark, corner of Terrace Road and Victoria Avenue and in the undercover car park at the Perth Concert Hall (river end). Limited street parking is also available.
  • These carparks are often full by 8:30am, however some bays become free later in the day.
  • Users of the Court are reminded of the need to arrive for court on time and the need to plan for an early arrival or to use public transport.
